BACKGROUND

Born in the city of Rafard, State of São Paulo (SP), Enido Michelini lived in Brazil most of his life.
During his successful advertising career as a top Creative Director, he worked for multinational clients such as General Motors, PanAm, Coca-Cola, Nextel, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz Trucks, Toyota, General Foods, Seagrams, Néstle, Panasonic and Alcoa.
Beginning in the 60's, while he was still working as an illustrator and graphic artist, Michelini participated in group and solo art exhibits, winning several awards and emerging as one of the top artists of the greater São Paulo region and participating as a juror of several art exhibits and advertising festivals.
He also had an exclusive contract with Marusan Gallery, the first professional art gallery in the city of São Bernardo do Campo.
In 2006 he relocated to the U.S. and is now focused on gaining exposure for his fine art in North America.

2005 - Invited to exhibit paintings in the “Brazilian Artshow” book.  In this book, a select group of Brazilians artists had the opportunity of distributing and documenting a sample of their work.

1999 to 2002 - Lived in Mexico City, studying and analyzing the rich cultural background of Mexico to incorporate new artistic influences.

1998 - Created the promotional poster for the XXIV Biennial International of São Paulo, organized by the prestigious Fundação Bienal de São Paulo (São Paulo Biennial Foundation).

1998 - Created the promotional poster for an special exhibit of Louise Bourgeois, part of the XXIV Biennial International of São Paulo.

1994 - Created the official poster for the 20th Century Brazil Biennial Exhibit organized by the prestigious Fundação Bienal de São Paulo (São Paulo Biennial Foundation).

1993 - Created the official poster for the II Biennial International Architecture Exhibit, organized by the prestigious Fundação Bienal de São Paulo (São Paulo Biennial Foundation).

1992 to 2005 - Michelini created work for three venues where he was represented: Escritorio de Arte Joh Mabe ( Joh Mabe Art Gallery), Renot Gallery and Berenice Arvani Gallery.

1984 - Encouraged by close friend, artist Luiz Sacilotto (one of the pioneers of the Concrete Art movement in Brazil), Michelini began studying new techniques, including the custom preparation of pigments and varnishes.
